Accessibility Statement

Last updated: March 2026

1. Our Commitment

Medelic Ltd is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We continually improve the user experience for everyone and apply the relevant accessibility standards to our website and clinical platform.

2. Conformance Status

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible for people with disabilities and more user-friendly for everyone.

As a healthcare technology provider operating within the NHS, we also comply with the NHS Digital Service Standard and the Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) Accessibility Regulations 2018.

3. Measures Taken

Medelic takes the following measures to ensure accessibility:

  • Accessibility is considered as part of our design and development process
  • We use semantic HTML markup throughout our platform
  • All interactive elements are keyboard accessible
  • Colour contrast ratios meet WCAG AA requirements
  • Text can be resized up to 200% without loss of functionality
  • Images include descriptive alternative text
  • Forms include clearly associated labels and error messages
  • Our platform supports screen readers and assistive technologies
  • We provide a dark mode option for users who prefer reduced brightness

4. Known Limitations

Despite our efforts to ensure accessibility, there may be some limitations. Below is a description of known limitations and potential solutions:

  • Video consultations require a camera and microphone. Alternative consultation methods (telephone, in-person) are available for patients who cannot use video.
  • Some third-party integrations (e.g. NHS Login) may have their own accessibility limitations outside our control.
  • PDF documents generated by the system may have limited accessibility. We are working to improve this.

5. Assistive Technologies Supported

Our platform is designed to be compatible with the following assistive technologies:

  • Screen readers (NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver)
  • Screen magnification software
  • Speech recognition software
  • Keyboard-only navigation
